Understand This About Reality And You'll Never Lose Again

The 3 principles of the universe that influence your life. Whether you like it or not.

From a young age I've always been interested in creating freedom. It's one of the reasons why I started writing online.

But before that, I tried: Dropshipping, freelance copywriting, content writing, creating advertisements, cartoon drawing, and probably a bunch of other stuff I've already forgotten.

I failed miserably in all these things. The reason for that is simple: I tried them for 1 to 2 weeks, wouldn't get immediate results, and quit.

I thought that people got instant big bucks from anything they tried online. If something didn't work immediately, I'd quit.

Like me, most people go through life thinking that every closed door is locked. There is a reason that the doors are closed. Walking to the door, shaking the knob, feeling the key, is the cost of entry.

And that's what most people do: they give up immediately, not realizing that the first couple months of anything worthwhile is the period where you figure things out. It separates the quitters from the winners.

A good example is the gym. Working out twice won't get you any results. We all know friends who quit the gym after 1 month because they thought it was a waste of time.

But sticking to it for 4+ months, and suddenly you realize that your whole body has changed.

That's how the universe is designed.

Otherwise, everyone would achieve immediate success. And that's not how things work. If everycone could attain it, it wouldn't be worth it.

And that's why most people choose the easy route. The route that is specifically designed for you to keep you in the system.

You can get a student loan with no problem. They inflate your grades so you can pass. You can get a job that pays just enough to keep you around.

After a while, you stop learning. Your dreams slowly die. The light in your eyes get dimmer and dimmer. 40 year passes by, and you achieved the bare minimum.

It's the easy route, that takes no extra effort from your side.

And that's exactly the reason why there's no extra reward for you. All the doors are wide open. It's the way of the lazy person.

For a life of extra value and meaning, you have to open doors. Without force, but with effort.

Like attracting a girl. Nothing is as unattractive as a girl who throws herself at every guy. It's cheap. There is no real achievement because everyone else could achieve it to.

On the other hand, attracting a beautiful girl who you subtly flirt with, slowly building the attraction up, and isn't for everybody else, is a real victory.

Realizing why and how the universe works this way is half of the battle. Together with daily action, you can achieve your dream life much quicker than you think is possible.

The time-lag in reality

The reason you don't see immediate results is because of the existence of a time-lag in reality.

This time-lag means that there is a delay in results with the effort you put in.

You find this time-lag everywhere: In the gym. In business. With any skill you learn. You name it.

In this phase, you figure things out. You give yourself some direction. It builds resistance and discipline.

If you start a business, and 1 week later you are making millions, you didn't learn anything. You don't become a better person. You don't become the guy that is able to earn a million dollars.

This time lag separates the winners from the losers. It asks the question: "How bad do you want it?"

Everything worthwhile follows this rule:

- Cheap sex and porn is easy. Real love takes time.

- A fit body demands effort. Junk food is everywhere.

- Building a profitable business takes years. Gambling takes seconds.

The time lag is most persistent in the beginning of your endeavours. Dan Koe can send out 1 tweet, and get millions of views. You on the other hand, should be happy with 2 views and 1 like (yourself).

Are you worthy of the results? That's the question the universe asks you. And you show this by the amount of time, energy, and effort you put in.

We all know, that if you showed up every day for 2 years, you would have the results you have always dreamed of.

But for most people this takes too long. So they rather distract themselves, and waste the next 40 years.

Don't be most people. Realize that the beginning always sucks. It's suppossed to be hard. It is a test. How bad do you want it?

Another reason why there is a time lag, is because systems need time to adapt and respond. People need to become familiar with you. You don't buy from someone online you have never seen before. Why would others?

The breakthrough moment

All your invisible work, all you preparations and frustrations will all be worth it when you make your first sale. Or when you finally have that real connection with someone. Or when you finally see your abs.

At that moment, all the invisible time and energy you put into it, become reality. First nothing happens, and then, everything happens. Keep preparing for that moment. Put in the effort. Be consistent.

And most importantly: don't quit.

The door doesn't open immediately because what's on the other side is valuable.

Everything in the universe is change

What we also must realize is that everything in the universe changes all the time. In buddism this is called impermanence.

The concept of impermanence is that nothing last forever. Everything is subject to arising and ceasing.

You might not be aware of it, but your life itself is constantly changing. You are not the same person you were 2 years ago. Your social circle changes. Your career changes. Eerything is constantly changing around you.

You can use this idea, this concept to change your life. Maybe a door was closed 6 months ago. But you have changed, the world has changed, and maybe that door is now meant to be opened by you.

An example is that maybe you wanted to start an online business. But no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn't get it off the ground.

6 months later, your friends got in relationships. You are spending much more time alone. You don't go out so much anymore. You rely much more on your own.

Now could be the time to start again. With a fresh mind. With more time on your hands. And with more motivation and discipline this time.

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man

Value of things is in its rarity

Everything that is valuable, is rare. The story of supply and demand doesn't only hold in the economy. It's everywhere.

True friendships are so valuable because they are so uncommon. Fake friends are all around. True friends are hard to find.

A good business idea is worth a million bad ones.

Difficulty filters out the competition

A fit body is a status symbol, only because there are so many unhealthy people. It's attractive because it shows that you are disciplined and consistent. Traits that are hard to find nowadays.

And because these things are rare, they demand effort. The reason gold is worth so much, is because it's so difficult to obtain.

Your business, your fit body, good friendships, all demand consistent effort from your side. You work on your business every day. You lift weights every day. You talk to your friends every day. This takes effort. And that's why it's so valuable.

Not a lot of people are consistent and persistent enough to build something worthwhile.

Immediate results would diminish the achievement

Nobody respects the person who inherited all his money Even if he build something of his own, there's always the notion of "his father is rich, so he could take the risks".

It may not be fair, but that's how it works. And that's why you need to learn to embrace the difficulty. It's hard? Good. It's takes up all my time and energy? Good.

Because at the end of the day, that's why you do it. You do it because you want to prove something. To yourself and to the world.

It boils down to the question: What kind of person are you? Do you put the work in? Do you continue without seeing results? Do you give up the minute a distraction comes along?

You rise and fall to the image you have of yourself

How do you define yourself?

Whether we realize it or not, we all have a story we tell ourselves. This story is defined by your past, your parents, environment, failures and wins. This story determines how we see ourselves.

Your Self-image determines your actions

Every successful entrepreneur, founder and CEO have 1 thing in common: They believed in themselves when no one else did.

The world will throw it's doubt on you. It will reject you and make fun of you.

But suddenly you'll be successful, and everyone asks how you did it.

How you see yourself, is how you act.

If you see yourself as a shy, insecure guy who isn't good at anything, you will act as a shy, insecure guy who isn't good at anything.

On the other hand, we all know guys who get away with everything. Thy get al the girls (it seems), money and joy is all around them. Very often these guys are dumber than you and I, but they don't perceive themself this why.

They think:"I'm awesome. Everything works out for me."

You might say that this is self-delusional.

But thinking that you should be timid and humble also self-delusional, but just the other side of the same coin.

So we should learn how to self-deluse ourselves up to a point where we allow ourselves to achieve great things.

How do we do this?

By faking it (at first). Hypnotize yourself into believing in yourself. If you are good at something, tell yourself that you are awesome. Imagine yourself hitting your goals.

Talk a little louder on purpose. Wear nice clothes. Smile at the cashier. Act like you just heard great news. Until one day, it won't be an act anymore. It's just how you move through life.

I hear you wondering: "But won't people think I'm an asshole?" Yes they will. But who cares. it's better to be hated by some than not being remembered by all.

Flirt with everything in life

My favorite exercise is to flirt with everything and everyone in life. This is one of the best ways to 'allow yourself' to be in this world.

Greet people. Cuddle with dogs. Talk with co-workers and strangers. Make yourself known to the world.

But it doesn't stop there.

Buy expensive food. Don't be cheap on yourself. Read old novels and run in the rain. Enjoy every good thing life has to offer.

Let your subconscious know that you are worth it!

The world is a mirror. If you send energy out in the world, you receive it back. If you act like you don't matter, you won't matter.

You and I are probably raised that we should be modest. That the great things in life are not for us. So we act in such a way. We live modestly.

The consequence of this, is that every closed door stays locked (for us). "That door is probably not for me. I'm not good enough." Yeah of course the door stays closed with this way of thinking.

Keep trying, don't give up

We talked about how a lot of opportunities seem out of reach, but with the right mindset, intention and energy you can actually achieve everything.

It all comes down to knowing how reality works.

There is a time-lag in reality the compound effect of your efforts take time to build up. Valuable things are difficult to achieve. And this difficulty filters out the competition. Otherwhise the whole world would achieve it. And your self-image determines how you act. Believe in yourself. Act like a winner, and you'll be a winner.
